Natural Nail Polish Review

What’s up, guys! Healthier Hannah here. And today we are talking nails. It is no secret that conventional nail polishes are highly, highly toxic. DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Camphor, Parabens, TPHP. Ugh! All ingredients that have been studied and have major contributions to these awful health problems that we have. I mean, why would we willingly expose ourselves to these kind of toxins if we knew what it was doing to us? You know, I have a little girl. She’s two. And she loves all things girly. But the last thing that I want to be doing is painting her nails with this conventional toxic nail polish it for her to be, like, touching her face, and putting her hands in her mouth, and all that jazz. So don’t you agree that if there was a more natural option that you’d be down to try it, right? Sure enough, I found it! My very favorite nail polish of all time now – and it’s from none other than 100 Percent Pure. And let me tell you guys, this is legit the safest nail polish on the planet. And sure, there’s a lot of “natural nail polishes” out there. Companies that claim “oh, well, we’re 5-free,” which 5-free means they’re free of, like, the five top toxic chemicals that are found in conventional nail polish. But, the nail polish from 100 Percent Pure is 10-free! Alright? Not 5-free, but 10-free from the top 10 most awful chemicals that are found in conventional nail polish. It’s just completely non-existent in 100 Percent Pure’s nail polish. So yeah, I’m totally cool with Lace painting her little nails with this stuff. And not to mention, they have really gorgeous colors! I’m like really surprised. But if you want, we can talk about what I’m wearing right now. And I’m gonna forewarn you, I don’t have, like, “model hands” at all. In fact, it’s hilarious, I’ve got this like really gnarly scar like right here below my index finger on my left hand. My mom accidentally left a hot glue gun like plugged in whenever she was like making bows for my hair or something. And I like crawled over, and I pulled the cord, and the hot glue gun fell right on top of my hand. So she took me the doctor and he’s like, “Oh, don’t worry about it. That scar will be gone by, like, prom.” Well guess what, Doc?! I went to prom, like, three times in high school, and it is still right there. So I guess it’s nice to have my nails painted to distract from that 27 year old wound. But the color that I’m wearing right now it’s called Velveteen. Hehe. Velveteen. And I really like it because it’s a very neutral blush colored nail polish, and to me it’s just very classy looking, and it kind of goes with a lot of stuff. But I’ll tell you the trick to this nail polish – I got the color, but I also got the base coat, and then I got the top coat, too. And I found that using all three of these is great because it kind of prevents it from chipping off and stuff. And also, if you’re like me, you might totally suck at putting nail polish on yourself. And I don’t know why, I mean my motor skills in my hands have always just been a little, like, weird, a little off. I hold my pencil weird, I write weird, I don’t know my left and right – I have to go like this to figure out which one is shaped like an L. We even went fishing the other day and my husband was watching me fish, and he was like, “Why are you holding your pole like that?” and I was like “What are you talking about?” Anyway, clearly I need help with a lot of things concerning my hands, and so painting my nails is one of them. And so I just took these three polishes with me to my local nail salon, and I said “Hey, I want to use these, so put the base coat on first, then the color, than the top coat.” And they were totally cool with it! And, voila! Beautiful nails, without the toxins. So there you have it! If you want to try out some awesome nail polish that doesn’t have any of that awful junk in it, then try this stuff from 100 Percent Pure. Let me know how you felt about your experience, too, by hanging out with me on Healthier Hannah’s Facebook page, Instagram, and Twitter. See you soon, my lovelies!
