MAKEUP BRUSH CLEANUP ๐Ÿ‘ Tips & Tricks

Hey there my name is Summer and welcome
to Elevate Beauty Company today I’m going to show you how to clean your
dirty dingy makeup brushes back to looking like new. Okay so we all know
that we should be washing our brushes once a week but chances are you probably
aren’t and chances are your brushes look a little bit like mine…where they’re
dirty or gunky the bristles are sticking together and really I just feel like
throwing them out the window but I’m going to show you a secret on how to get
your brushes looking just like brand new so you don’t have to do that and you
could be a reformed makeup user and bow some of your brushes get like this again
which I do all the time but I mean it’s inevitable life is busy it’s hard to
make time to clean them and so they always end up like this so let me show
you what you need to get started make sure you watch the video to the very end
because I’ve got a secret product that I use in between brush cleaning that helps
to make it easier to clean your brushes when you’re ready and you can wait
longer in between cleaning your brushes so you’re going to want to hear this tip
first thing you need our dirty brushes check next thing you need a great brush
cleaner and this is one from sentence that I happen to love I use such as
cosmetics and they are water resistant and waterproof and because they stay so
well on your face they also stay really well on your brushes so this brush
cleaner is specially formulated to break down that makeup and makes it really
easy to clean any makeup brushes regardless of what kind of makeup you
actually use it’s only $20 for this big bottle I’ve already cleaned my brushes a
handful of time and I still have more than half left so this is for sure my
favorite brush cleaner you’re going to need some water I usually do this at the
sink but for today I’ve got a bowl of water to rinse your brushes and then
you’re going to need a towel to dry your brushes at the end it’s really important
to get all the moisture out of your brushes and the
a microfiber towel works really well you’re also going to need one of these
little egg things so it’s called a brush egg it’s a silicone rubbery little scrub
pad and it’s got these kind of like a perforate what is this called I don’t
know it’s like an accordion like you know the old-fashioned wash like when
they used to wash on that like scrub thing it’s like that
that’s for your brushes first thing you want to do is put some of your brush
cleaner into I actually just use a little cap of one of my skin care
products because it’s skinny its tall and it’s the perfect size for your
makeup brushes and you just need a little tiny bit there’s probably like a
quarter of this is full you don’t need a ton because as soon as it gets really
dirty you’re going to dump this out and start fresh with brand new cleaner so
first thing you do let’s start with one of our smaller brushes now the bristles
on this brush should be nice and creamy like creamy neutral but I use this for
one of my gold shadows so it has now turned a beautiful copper rose gold so
what we’re going to do first thing is dip this into my cleaner and kind of
swirl it around you want to get that cleaner into your bristles and it
doesn’t take very long a foiling and it already starts to come out so you can
see it’s already starting to turn back to its natural color throw that around
for probably I see for these smaller ones thirty seconds is enough time for
the larger ones I’ll actually soak them and then scrub them I’m going to wring
out a little bit of that product on the side okay so I just run it out and I’m
going to take my little brushy guide and I’m going to scrub back and forth and
back and forth on it you don’t want to swirl it around because that could
damage your bristles but when you go back and forth what it does is it breaks
down even further that makeup that was inside deep down in your bristles that
so hurts the hard stuff to get out and you just scrub back and forth and you’ll
see that the sides kind of turn the color of the makeup and you can see
that it’s getting out and look at how nice this already looks then all you do
is swish it around in your waters and I’m going to wring it out just a little
bit so I’m just squeezing the bristles and then you want to go back and forth
and back and forth and it’s almost like see how right it is now so much better
and so much cleaner I like to really rinse these out good because I don’t
want to leave any of the soap product in here if you have really sensitive skin
it could irritate your skin so make sure that you’re really renting these out
really well so then you just continue on with all your brushes thanks so much for watching I hope you
enjoyed my video on how to clean your brushes I have a quick tip for you first
of all please make sure you’re washing your brushes at least once a month once
a week would be ideal but in between cleanings I use this product called elf
daily brush cleaner and it actually disinfects your brushes as well so what
you would do is after you use it for the day and you’re done with your makeup you
take your brush you spray a little bit of the cleaner on it let it air dry a
little bit and then wipe any of the products that just got onto your brushes
off onto a towel and your brush is clean and ready for you tomorrow hope you
enjoyed that quick
