How To Clean Your Spectrum Brushes

We’re going to show you how to clean your brushes to ensure you get better life and performance out of them. Cleaning your brushes properly means you are able to get that flawless finish every time. You’ll need a bowl, a gentle soap, like our Liquid Magic, our Unicorn Horn Polish, or our Mermaid Tail Scrub, a towel and some warm water. First, wash the tip of your brush to get rid of any built-up make-up. Make sure you don’t submerge the ferule or the handle. The bristles and the ferule are glued in place. Excess water will break down the glue over time that holds the bristles or the ferule to the handle damaging your brush. Add a drop of Liquid Magic to the bowl of
water. Then gently swirl the tip of the brush until all the excess product has been removed from the bristles. If you’re using a solid soap, then swirl the brush in the soap tin and then wash the brush tip in a bowl of warm water. Repeat this process until the water runs clear. Rinse the brush tip and don’t forget to turn
off the tap. Squeeze the water out of the brush. Then use a towel to soak up any excess water. Finally, place your clean brush flat on a
towel so that any leftover water can drain away. Leave the brush to dry for around 24
hours and when you come back your brushes will be looking as good as new.
